Acts as the ratification panel for the acceptance of new European Reference Materials, including the extension of validity of certificates, on the recommendation of the technical committee

Co-ordinates proposals for new CRM projects

Approves the annual PR/marketing plan of the ERM® partnership and agrees the funding

Accepts new ERM® partners under the stated conditions, deciding by majority vote about sanctions (including exclusion) against ERM® partners in the case of misconduct

Preparation of European Reference Materials' documents for decision

Review of submissions for candidate European Reference Materials

Harmonisation of CRM production and certification processes

Proposals for shelf-life extensions

Proposals for web page content

Promoting the European Reference Materials brand and concept through PR, exhibitions and other marketing methods

Proposing web page content, ensuring that the European Reference Materials website is up to date and checking that the content relating to the European Reference Material is up to date on partners' websites

Ensuring that the ERM® brand and logo are used consistently in all organisations in accordance with the guidelines

Developing guidelines for communications and checking that all messages are consistent with the positioning of the ERM® brand to re-inforce the value of using high quality reference materials

Technically prepare the meetings of the European Reference Materials panel and the European Reference Materials technical committe

Update and store the files of the European Reference Materials
